The designer, maker and creative mind behind Emma Louise Designs (ELD).
Welcome to my little corner of the world! 💙
I'm Emma, and I design and handcraft earrings from my home on the beautiful Fraser Coast in Queensland.
I started Emma Louise Designs back in 2010.
I love creating earrings that are a little different from what you'll find in the shops. Whether it's the natural beauty of timber, colourful acrylic or a combination of wood and resin, my aim is to create unique statement earrings that are lightweight, comfortable and easy to wear.
How ELD began
I've always had a passion for being creative. I studied Graphic Design at the University of the Sunshine Coast and went on to work as a graphic designer for 10 years. During that time, I was lucky enough to have access to a laser cutting machine. I started experimenting with designing and cutting my own jewellery, and it didn't take long before I was hooked! What began as a creative hobby eventually grew into Emma Louise Designs, allowing me to combine my love of design with making something beautiful that women can enjoy wearing.

Today, I run ELD from home, where I personally design and create my earrings.
I love working with different materials, especially beautiful walnut timber and colourful acrylic. Each material has its own personality, and I enjoy experimenting with new shapes, patterns and colour combinations.
One of my favourite things is creating statement earrings that look bold but feel surprisingly light to wear.
Many of my designs are created in small batches, with some being completely one of a kind. I love knowing that my customers can wear something a little different rather than the same mass-produced jewellery everyone else is wearing.

I'm lucky enough to call the beautiful Fraser Coast home, where I run my small business while enjoying family life with my two children.
Living in such a beautiful part of Australia provides plenty of inspiration, from the colours of the ocean to the natural textures and earthy tones around me.
